You can’t take your whole school to the planetarium, but you can bring a professional quality planetarium to your Utah school!
• No bus expenses
• No instruction time lost to travel
• No permission slips
The GoPlanetarium inflatable dome is 22 feet in diameter and can hold 35-45 students and their teachers. A digital projection system turns the ceiling of the dome into a professional planetarium.
The dome requires a clean floor, a 15’ ceiling (such as the gymnasium) and 15 Amp grounded electrical power (a normal wall outlet). A presenter will set up and operate the dome and programs.
Choose from several programs (see detail here) including productions from NASA, Houston Museum of Natural Science, and Rice University. You can preview these shows and their educational curriculum on-line at GoPlanetarium.com
Each program covers several areas from the Utah State Core Curriculum in an exciting and memorable way that promotes retention. Supplementary materials and suggested activities are available for classroom use.
Program Fees (due upon arrival):
$285 for 3 hours (30 minute shows for up to 270 students)
$375 for 5 hours (30 minute shows for up to 450 students)
Additional fees apply for travel outside of Salt Lake County or Utah County:
